Plant Based Eating 101

During this lecture and cooking demonstration, you will learn how to make four easy, healthy, good-for-you recipes: kale and beet salad, broccoli slaw, chickpea salad wraps, and banana/pineapple nice cream.
Karen Burzichelli is married with twin girls in Gibbstown, N.J., and works as a labor and delivery registered nurse, childbirth instructor, and certified health coach. Karen dealt with many health problems over the years and through research discovered food does not just contain calories but also contains information. Every bit of food you consume broadcasts a set of coded instructions to your body. These instructions lead to either health or disease. As she transitioned into a whole food, plant-based lifestyle she eliminated all of her ailments naturally and went back to school to learn more about how food affects our health. Her hope is that others will feel as great as she does!
