  • For all potlucks: Each individual in your party (with the exception of children under 12) brings a Vegan (No Meat, Dairy, Eggs, Gelatin or Honey) dish to share that will feed at least 6 people. Watch the Knecht Cup Regatta on the beautiful 2,000 meter Olympic class rowing course on the Cooper River. Participating university & college crews come from all over the U.S. We will meet in the grove at the finish line on the south bank of the river between Rt 130 & Cuthbert Blvd. below the Hopkins House. With that as our food and refreshment base, we may walk or bike around the course and spend time watching the starts late morning/noon.

For 13 years Vegetarian Neighbors has run a booth selling vegan food on this day when people are out en masse to have fun.
There are lots of things to do and admission is free. On stage are bands, jugglers, magic, dancing and twirling. There are interesting and informative displays, crafts, games, antique cars, helicopter rides and more, plus fireworks at dusk.
Vegetarian Neighbors offers a no-cholesterol low-fat menu, fresh from our farms and gardens, including popular veggie burgers and meatless big franks--with all the trimmings.
Look for our yellow and green Vegetarian Neighbors banner on Yum Yum Court and come for lunch, dinner and refreshments.
